Paired comparison

Also called before/after

Comparing the same items at two points or under two conditions, where the change per item matters more than the overall level.

Say it to an AI

Show how six teams' engagement scores changed from 2025 to 2026. This is a paired comparison, so use a slope chart: a 2025 and a 2026 column, one line per team with the score in both labels, rising lines in one color and falling lines in another.

How an expert would brief the stronger version of “Engagement before and after”.

Study A · the stronger one
Study B · the weaker one

Why: Each team is measured once in 2025 and once in 2026; A connects the two measurements, B places them next to each other.
